Our History

Agrofin – Hcda. La Bella was founded in the year 1999, settled in the Pumpkin Enclosure, Malimpia parish, of the Rosa Zárate canton (Quinindé), in the Esmeraldas province, EcuadorThis region is characterized by its rainy weather, its ecological richness and for being a cadmium-free zone, a key condition for the production of high-quality, high-value fine aroma cocoa in international markets.

Cacao is one of Ecuador's flagship products and a historical pillar of its agricultural economy, recognized worldwide for its sensory profile, genetic diversity, and ancestral origins. In this context, Agrofin – Hcda. La Bella has been committed from its inception to contributing to the reputation of Ecuadorian cacao, understanding that Grain quality depends not only on geneticsbut of environmental context, agronomic management, and responsible production decisions.
